ASUS G75VX screen acting up

Had the computer for four years.
The screen is black when I boot it up. When I connect it to an external monitor, it works. The kicker is that once I remove the HDMI cable the laptop
screen works.
Now after long months past, it takes a while for my PC to use the internet. As in, even if there is CAT V plugged in, it wants to use wifi and is
extremely slow until after about 5 minutes passed.
Lastly, sometimes my battery won't reach 100% charged when plugged in.
Updated the driver for my GTX 670MX.
Tried taking out the battery, holding the power, etc.

I do not think anyone can help me.

This black screen issue that most G75 users are having (needs to be a sticky) is not from a sudden hardware problem, rather, it's related to UEFI GOP (fast boot) enabled (BIOS defaults) and how the factory (or user configured) boot drive (GPT) is setup when installing Windows prior to upgrading it to another version.

Originally, this problem surfaced from updating to Windows 8/10, followed with existing display adapter drivers already installed BEFORE the upgrade happened. Later on, users decide to do a clean install of different (newer) drivers on that upgraded OS, which then corrupts the way the boot manager detects GUI boot mode with retrieved UEFI GOP OROM > EFI DISPLAY EDID PROTOCOLS from BEFORE the OS upgrade, which all happens during the pre-OS phase. This is why your notebook display works AFTER plugging into the HDMI port as your drivers have loaded at this point (which requests the same EDID protocols).

The way to correct this would be to do a full format and install a clean copy of Windows again (not using the factory Windows recovery partition).

Your WiFi/LAN issue most likely would be driver related (perhaps even from not fully recovering from a low power state if you use Sleep).

Your battery may be in need of replacement then.

EDIT: Unless you're describing the battery not charging until below 95% even if AC adapter is plugged in as this is a smart charge feature to prolong battery charged wear levels over time.
