hello guys, I just bought asus g75vx few weeks ago, maybe around 3 weeks, then now I have a problem with my hinge, I don't know which side but, it really scare me. because when I open the lid, it's fine. but when I try to pull the lid (trying to close), I feel that the hinge got empty space. so it might be bouncy a little bit if got fan behind my laptop. then now, it got sound when I try to pull the hinge! what happened to my laptop?? it's still new 😞 is anybody experiencing the same problem as me?

Can you push it all the way back? or is that he farthest it will go? I'm trying hard to understand what you mean by got empty space? Do you mean it feels loose?

It sounds just like a squeaky hinge

You need to do some surgery. If my guess is right the screws that hold the hinge down have loosened. To check if this is the case & fix it, you will need to remove the back cover that sits behind the hinges and then you will have access to the screws, 2 on each hinge.
There are plenty of disassemble videos on youtube, like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9KHrJKInmA
you don't need to go that far with it. I think it's just the 2 corner screws, and maybe 3 under the battery to take the back cover off and access the hinge.
If the screws have come all the way out & been lost, they are available at any hardware store, metric, size M2.5x8mm
