Asus G75VW Stock 256GB SSD Liteonit LAT-256MS3 swap to HDD

Good Morning!

Is it possible to replace stock 256GB SSD Liteonit LAT-256MS3 in Asus G75VW (Model came with 256GB SSD + 1TB Seagate ST1000LM024 HDD) to WD WD5000BPKX, 7200rpm, 16MB (Sign "WD Black BPKX" not "WD Scorpio Black BPKT" is any difference between them? (also both of them not Veloci Raptor models) ). Because recently insallation of IMSM driver on G72GX with WD Blue 500GB BPVX caused BSOD's and Windows 7 Updates, Windows 7 Troubleshooter where not working. However if not install IMSM with WD Blue 500GB BPVX, G72GX works fine no BSODS, Windows 7 Updates, WIndows 7 Troubleshhoter works. With stock Seagate Momentus 5400 500GB all ok, and IMSM installation not causing this issues. (Here is listed issue: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?4406-ASUS-G72GX-acting-funny-after-Restore-os-Windows-OS-us...)
So WD HDD's are not fully supported in Asus ROG Laptops? Will this WD WD5000BPKX, 7200rpm, 16MB (Sign "WD Black BPKX") will work as system drive in my G75VW fully with all Asus Drivers? I want just replace my SSD on it and also remain stock 1TB Seagate ST1000LM024 HDD in 2nd bay. Another question is, how to fully prepare G75 to this swap, and copy all system with restoration of all partitions(including Recovery partition F8), I want the entire system in 'factory out of box' condition with all Asus programs(TurboGear, Live Update, etc.), I also have Asus recovery DVD sets that where included in box. Am I need to launch AI Recovery Utility (there are 3 options Backup to DVD/BD, Create ISO backup files for DVD, Create ISO backup files for Blu-ray disc) what is recommended to choose in my case? Will Asus recovery DVD automatically allocate partitions including recovery partition (F8) with their sizes on new HDD, so I will not need to enter each partition size manually? As current SSD is 256 GB, OS(C) drive is 95.3, (D) drive 117GB, (E,F) which is Seagate 1TB ST1000LM024 HDD are both 465GB, but the WD WD5000BPKX is 500GB, will Asus Recovery exactly automatically allocate partition sizes in that case. Maybe there is available a manual to do this operation correctly? Thanks in advance!

P.S.
Does WD Veloci raptor (WD5000BHTZ) are more reliable than WD WD5000BPKX? I suppose that higher rotation speed will reduce it's life time and a broken sectors will appear more frequently. And the last question maybe it's better to purchase x2 WD WD5000BPKX or system will work with no changes if in 2nd bay remain 1TB Seagate ST1000LM024 HDD. Could you also recommend another options (HDD's with at least 7200RPM, reliability is more important, as current 256GB SSD Liteonit due to standard issues formed about 8000 broken sector)

All 2.5" 9mm thick will work in your NB. If your getting rid of your 256 Liteon let me know I'll buy it. Nothing is faster than a SSD for your OS drive. any 7200 RPM Hard drive will work just fine for storage you won't really notice much difference and a 10,000 RPM wouldn't be much more faster loading large data files.
I think that the WD Forums would be the place to find out about WD hard drives. I personally haven't used them in NB didn't have good luck with them way back when. I do use WD Blacks on my work stations but only because they are fast and 5 year warranty

Of course they will work but in case with G72GX IMSM SATA driver works only with Seagate and if HDD is not Seagate Windows 7 Troubleshooter stops working and system goes to BSOD, so the reason I am asking did Asus guarantees that all system drivers will be properly work on G75 on any HDD's? I did not like the SSD, because I am using my G75 not often and in 1.5 year the Liteonit SSD collected 9000 broken sectors according to HDD Sentinel data, so I not interested in SSD anymore due to it unreliability. Moreover it started to behave strange on each system start I have random amount of free space from 2 - 5 GB, recently space amount was constant. A while ago I bought the Seagate Backup Plus 3TB drive and quality of this drive was ridiculous, it was randomly restarting after copying some chunks of files each 2-4 GB, so Seagate drives quality are not ideal. Drive was restarting even when Seagate Backup Dash Board copying was performing, however quality of Seagate drives was better in previous years. Do you monitoring your WD Blacks with HDD Sentinel for broken sectors? So in terms of higher reliability it's better to buy WD7500BPKX WD Black ? (Currently in the store there is no so much variety, SSD in which I am not interested, some SAS, but their prices are greater than SSD's, variety of Hitachi/Seagate/WD file storing drives of 5400rpm which are really slow for placing it as System drive, WD Black/Velociraptor and Seagate Momentus 7200 rpm)

I don't know what to tell you. The liteon in my NB has been going strong for almost 2 years now. I use HD Tune to monitor my hard drives/SSD. As to your G72 there is a older G series forum for that problem. If you have a failing SSD I would suggest you RMA it. as to the rest of your issues with hard drives there must be forum for hard drives. We haven't had many issues here in this forum with hard drives or SSDs other than to move OS on to them. A hard drive or SSD is either good or not good. Not good ones go for RMA if still in warranty or replace if not, there's not much in between
