ASUS G75VW laptop stutters in games

For some reason my laptop seems to stutter in games how can i determine what is causing it and how can i fix this? It is really frustrating

1) please make sure the laptop is plugged in to the power source;
2) check if antivirus suite interferes the gaming experience (by disabling it).

No still happens when AV is off

No i always have it on high performance and is always plugged in

I believe it is the ASUS G75VW RS72 model and it seems like it stutters when loading the rest of a map in any game. Mostly in Mirror's Edge 2 some times in Fallout New Vegas and Payday the Heist

what is your vga driver version, do you know when you play game and get slow what is your FPS?

Have had the same problem on my VX with some games. Even with some very old games. The problem seemed to be in my case the HDD, when i've moved the games to the SSD, all stuttering stopped. It's kind of strange to have this problem in 2013, but it is what it is...
