Asus g75vw bricked after changing boot order in bios.

I upgraded my hdd to an SSD and change the boot order on the Bios settings. For some inexplicable reason, this bricked my laptop. It won't boot up anymore. The screen doesn't turn on, and there's no sign of life other than the fans spinning.

I've tried the ctrl+home method mentioned in multiple threads on the ROG forums with the original g75vw.bin bios file that I found in the recovery partition of my original hdd, when I ctrl+home I see the hdd light blinking a few times like if it was loading then the machine restart the keyboard lights on for a few seconds then the keyboard lights turns off, I see that the laptop is still on but I see nothing on screen.

Hi,

I am having the exact same problem on mine. I haven't been able to get mine to work. One of the other problems that I have is that I can't seem to find the original G75VW.BIN in my original recovery partition, not the 8mb one that I've read that we are supposed to have. I'm currently exploring other options to fix it, but let me know if you've had any success, and if you still have that original G75VW.BIN file.

I hope that you have yours working by now.

Take Care,
-David
