Asus G751JY different models code (in UK)?

Hello everyone,

I decided to upgrade to the latest G751JY for my gaming laptop, but there are different model codes that confuse me. Could you please help me decide which is the latest model among those? There are T7912H, and T7117H.

They all vary in SSD, GPU, CPU and RAM. I was choosing between 15 variations and they all were varying by these components.

The one from asuslaptop does have Intel Core i7 4870HQ (a bit better cpu in my opinion), pre-installed Microsoft Windows 8.1 (for the price of the OS you will be able to upgrade to 32GB), 16GB of ram and is lacking SSD.

I suggest you to take the Intel Core i7 4710HQ (powerful enough cpu) with GeForce 980M with 4GB of memory (enough dedicated memory for modern games to load high quality textures), at least 16GB of ram (if you get 2x8GB then you will be able to put two more 2x8GB in the future), 128 or 256GB SSD (operation system and other frequently accessed files, or games if you want quick loading times). Opt for a laptop without pre-installed Windows if you want to save some bucks.

Also if you ever plan to put in a M.2 PCIe SSD you should buy it with it. That's the only way your sure to get that connector.

I ordered the previous model with the i74860HQ. 3 days later I got a call from them saying it was out of stock so I went for the newer model with the
i74870HQ eventually. Apart from this hassle, I was satisfied with them.

I've heard overclockers are reliable too - (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/).
