Asus G751JT Black Screen second start up

Hello , I have had the problem of black screen the same day I received the PC. I turned on the computer for the first time , started the configuration of windows and crashed. I had to forcibly shut down the pc and then you are no longer on again. Problem: black screen , all the LEDs on except the processor, after 30 seconds the fans run indefinitely . After several attempts , turning on and off , the PC is started , I did the updates of windows update and these days I was not given more problems , I think I've also updated the video card driver . Occasionally, however, the computer takes too much to go off or after I put the windows password is not accessed . I asked for a refund because where I bought it is no longer available and I want to buy it back at another site to 200 € more than what I paid , but I'm afraid I have the same problem . I sent an email to asus in which I explained the problem and they responded with a short sentence : " it is a hardware problem , replace the PC ." I was not given any explanation , bad service . I believe that even they know what the problem is due . Are undecided whether to let me replace because the problem is not me giving more , but I think of the money I spent and the pc has given me from the start. We can have a definite answer on the issue by this company ? I think I 'll buy another laptop of another brand . I used google translate.

If there's a possible BIOS fix then hope to see that. ASUS are normally good at releasing BIOS patches.
Even though the Asus is a beast.. really good solid machine, awesome exterior, very rugged, I returned it because it wouldn't boot up. Not a good sign, so a bit superstitious and just got a totally different model (Gigabyte). My last laptop was ASUS and it was all good from day one, and my desktop has Asus inside, so... probably just a glitch that can be fixed. Good luck with your machines!

Hi all, I have just received my G751JY and it too after the second reboot went to a blank screen. $2600 for a laptop that lasts less than 8 minutes. I connected a monitor (Toshiba) via the VGA port and I could switch to the monitor and I could see the rest of the build. I also did notice that it shuts down about 20 - 30 seconds after I press the power button sometimes. Has anyone been told what the cause is when you received your laptop back?

I must say ASUS is leaving me with a great impression after only buying Toshiba laptops for the last 20 years and only having one hard drive fail or was I just lucky.

I had the same problem with my g751 on the second day after I bought it. I did a lot of research around this issue and almost everything I found says that it is a problem with windows updates. I did a system restore and disabled windows automatic updates and have not had the problem since. Now it is only trying to narrow the problem down so I can update what needs to be updated without causing the same problem once again.

You can add me to the list. I just got back from sending mine back to the seller. I bought G751-JT and unboxed it, powered it on and black screen on first attempt..

Even with the hard drive removed the monitor would not initialize, so I ruled out it being a Windows issue. When I called Asus they wanted me to send it in for repair but I decided just to send it back to the seller and purchase a replacement.

Not that I see all of you having the same issue I am kinda scared about ordering another one.

It's a static issue. Press and hold the power button for 45 seconds (laptop will turn off), this does a power drain and when you turn your laptop back on, it should work correctly. It's happened to me several times, and this works everytime. Very annoying, not sure what causes it, but it seems to work. Hope this helps.
