If I understand your problem, you are having a problem with your DC-IN jack on the side of the laptop. Replacement is the only solution. You must disassemble the laptop to install the DC-IN board.
DC-IN jack Part No. : 90NB06M1-R10030 should be about $25
Quite often if the DC-IN board is bad, the AC Adapter (charging brick) is also bad, or going bad soon.
