Asus G751 battery stuck at 0%. Every 10-15 mins shuts down - found a FIX (kind of)

Hey guys, i need ur help.
Befor I start,I know there a few threads with battery issues. But my is a little different.

My battery is stuck at 0%. It won't charge up even if it says "charging". Every 10-15 mins my notebook shuts down, without any warning.
When I reboot, all windows are still open (maybe energysaving mode).
It wont start without plugged of AC.

What I tried:
1. Plugged off AC and press power for 1 min. (not worked)

2. Go to device manager -> battery -> and deinstall all komponents
after the restart they installed themself (not worked)

3. what has worked (kind of)
device manager -> battery -> deactivate Windows ACPI....

since I did option 3 the battery isn't in my taskbar anymore. My Notebook doesn't shut down.
BUT the video card is not working anymore (Code 43).

When I activate the battery again and restart windows the nvidia video card workes again.
=> so if u activate the battery and restart, the videocard workes... and if u deactivate the battery afterwards, everything is nice (battery off - video card on)
but its kid of annoying doing that all the time.

Do u guys have any idea what I can do? I don't mind if the AC must be plugged in everytime. I just need the video card working.

Sorry for my bad english 🙂

Thanks

I booted Ubuntu with USB and got the same issue. 😞

After Ubuntu started, I unplugged the PSU. after about 5 min the battery dropps from 100 to 98%... and then the Notebook shuts down itself again 😞

Ok. So we have 3 hardware options:
1. your new battery is defective
2. your laptop is defective
3. both are

Assuming you are not able to do this (since g751jy battery connector is not documented): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MGQ0Ap_raM
I think you have no choice and must send all they ask to Asus service... 😞

I have exactly the same issue
and the battery is completely dead still I didn't replace the battery

so after u change the battery what happens when you unplugged in with the AC
it's only restarts if you unplugged AC?

I explained everything in this thread... it doesn't restart. It goes in the energy saving mode (dont know what its called in english, same as shut down but after you press the power button, everything is still open)
When the PSU is plugged in, everything is fine.

Selam,

yeah, I'm gonna send my new battery back and get a new one.
Now I'm using my Notebook without any battery and it works fine.
Some people say, that the G751 uses the PSU and battery at the same time, when doing heavy CPU stuff (like gaming). Don't know if it's true, but sounds possible.

So without battery works fine? no more restarts?

It hasn't restartet befor... It has turned into "hibernation mode" (don't know if its the right word...just googled it), cuz the battery has shown 2% = critical. If the PSU was plugged in, everything was fine. It just happen without PSU.

Without battery the LED ist blinking, but till now, I didn't notice anything wrong.
