I wonder if i can upgrade my G750JZ in the future to a 980M from the JY. If not i think i will sell my JZ and buy JY, i like the design of g750 more then the one on g751.
Maybe it will have a better price then G751.

Wow, I didn't notice the link either. A G750JY with a 980m. That's amazing. I might not bother with the G751 then..

I wonder what it's form factor is and if it can be purchased separately. Might be able to hand down my 770m to a JM user if it will fit in a G750JX.

If not well, new laptop. Woohoo.

Now the question remains, does it have the full copper fin sinks and is the screen an IPS?

Also, Scott that price from Romania looks like around 2600 USD. Not too bad.

And the dimensions on the page say "(W x H x D):410 x 50 - 18 x 318 mm" and that "50" being 5cm is the same as my JX, so.. unless they copied the stats off another notebook and made loose changes.. then, you might be right. The G750JY will be the low profile model which will be awesome.

FreeDOS is a popular option in that region.

Optimus isn't mentioned anywhere so far... I am hoping it won't be Optimus'd 🙂

I wonder if anything will bottleneck in the model.. unless it's just the shell that's the G750.. but all the components are up to date like IPS screen, motherboard and so on.

Darnassus, I wonder if the M.2 is SATA or PCIE - likely still SATA, not a bad thing, but not an upgrade.

Actually the only upgrades for this G750 are the 980m, the CPU, no Optimus 🙂

IPS screen isn't called out, but wide 120' viewing is, so it is hopefully an IPS.

I think yesterday I saw on a website/store that it should be available in this early December... I am wondering the reason of this choice of making a G750 version with the new 9xx GPUs... maybe it's because some users said the G751 look is "less professional", maybe because of the G751 keyboard color that, from what I read, isn't really appreciated... I don't know what to think, I just hope they will make cheaper versions (with 970m) because, honestly, I like the G750 look more than the 751... maybe it will even have less % of issues out of the box? 😛

Of course now the point is to get real infos about the specs... I could be wrong but maybe the screen is the "same old".. I could be wrong on this but from what I read people didn't appreciate the new IPS screen not being 120Hz... was the "old" 750 screen 120Hz?

IPS screen (who cares about 120Hz?!) and no hissy amp = dream machine, shut up and take my money etc etc.

Make it happen.

Is that laptop out yet? I really hope it will have IPS screen as g751 has which I saw recently and it was just awesome.

I hope it will have an IPS screen cause that laptop is just the perfection IF it handle the heat correctly, which I expect because it did with optimus+880M, that card is an OVEN !
