EDIT: Contacted the website and apparently ASUS moved embargo up till next week which is why it's not available atm. Guess I got lucky getting mine early lol. Hm to think about it E3 starts Monday as well so maybe something to do with that?

@GenTechPC i really want to customize Asus G750JH-DB71 removing its ssd, replacing 16gb to 8gb so my budget can afford this gaming laptop 😞 can that be possible? 😞 i really want the gtx 780 :'(

i am still curious about the cpu specifications, and need good information on this one.

from ark.intel.com, you can see in the list of 4th gen mobile cpu's. in that list, there is a 4700mq, and a 4700hq. there is a difference in terms of package specifications that i saw in these two:

4700mq - 37.5mm x 37.5mm x 4.7mm; socket: FCPGA946
4700hq - 37.5mm x 32mm x 1.6mm; socket: FCBGA1364

when i checked the specs of a g750, it said it has a 4700hq. apparently the socket type for this cpu is a BGA. really? why BGA package? from google, BGA is supposed to be permanently soldered cpu.

i ask this because i will do cpu upgrade by myself when the time comes. if the above was true, asus is taking away the chance for us to use cpu's that we want to 😕

That is how it always works. New model replaces older for generally same price. I made the mistake of purchasing the g74 right before g75 was announced lol. Sold for the same price too.

The 765m is less powerful than 670MX. The CPU price is about the same as well as the power. That is why the 750 model may turnout cheaper than a VX. The card is cheaper.
