Just one more advice for you. If you are getting a replacement AC Adapter, try to get a 180w adapter. It will work cooler and provide more juice to your laptop when it needs it. Look for a compatible one though, such as the G75VX stock ac adapter. Its 180w and it is compatible with the G74SX. I have been using it and have no problems with it.

Tip: G74SX OEM ac adapter is 19.5v 7.7a. When choosing a new ac adapter, look for 19v - 20v 180w ac adapter. Too much or too little volts will damage and affect laptop and battery's lifespan and performance.

Good Luck!

something is saying to me your adapter is not sending 150W. I agree with JamesNgkk! get a 180w adpter 19 to 20v!
