Asus G74SX Issue with BR/DVD room not working and Black screen when booting from sle.

I have recently encountered to Issues i would like some help with.

The BlueRay Drive is [Slimtype BD E DS4E1S]

The first one is that i Recently encountered an issue with my BR/DVD room wont read any CD, i put the CD in and it makes the usual sound and then stops after 1 sec.
The light seems to flash once when i open and close the cd room so i know it got power.

I did go to the Asus support site but when i got to the part which told me to reinstall a drive, to bad it did not tell me which driver to downlad so i dont know which one is for the CD room.

Last time the i used the CD room was about a month ago and then it worked perfectly.

I have also resently encountered problems where the screen is black after booting up from sleep mode.
The laptop have only been used for about 6-9 months.

Any one able to help me with this?:(

Maybe you need to remove the front plate and give it a good cleaning.

Is the front plate detachable plate where the button and light for the CD room is?

if so, Is it just to pick right of or do i have to do something special to loosen it?
