First, hi to all i am hoping you can help me...My friend brought me this gaming laptop to check whats wrong with it...after examine it in detail, cleaning the fans and puting the new termal paste..the results are: The laptop turns on, no picture, black screen, and after couple of seconds the fans are running at highest speed. All leds are up, blue color, all the time... After few times the laptop starts with leds up, then shuts down, then again, same thing...after maybe one minute it turns on again but with fans at max speed. I tried with different sticks of ram in different sockets, same thing...so i tried to remove GPU, same thing hapends..with one fan off course...so i believe it is not GPU that is dead. Oh and if i remove the memory stick i also get same simptoms. It turns on but fans max speed...and so on... So what could it be? cpu maybe? or motherboard, maybe BIOS? Thank you for help in advance....

as i am having asus g73sw , when i installed a new motherboard i respasted the gpu and cpu too ...while repasting the gpu and cleaning its MXM SLOT i accidentally got some of the gpu tim stuck inside the MXM SLOT...i assembled everything and was getting the same result whenever i used to turn on the laptop...thn i opened it up again and examined each and every part of it and in the end saw the tim stuck in the MXM SLOT which was the culprit ! well try resetting the bios again ...it could be probably the GPU or the CPU failure for sure 🙂
