ASUS G73JH CPU Going Crazy...

My CPU is going crazy... I have no idea what is wrong with it... for some reason it is constantly just staying at ~1800-1900 mhz no matter what battery setting I am on. It will not even go above 2ghz anymore on high performance. What do I need to do. please help!

What have you tried so far?

If you think the recent Chipset driver update is responsible, a System Restore to the time prior to the update would be a good first step.

Otherwise, restoring the System State backup you made of your most recent stable system should work.

I am doing a clean install right now, I really hate too, but i'll see if it fixes the issues..

Had you updated the chipset driver recently? There's a report of timing issues with the recently-posted Intel update.
