ASUS g73jh black screen on start up

Hi!

I used to have GSOD when playing new games that required newer GPU drivers than the vBios supported and it got really bad when I got BF3 last week. So i decided to do the vlfash so I could use the latest GPU drivers. I did it by following the guide http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/515309-how-fix-your-gsod-blues.html

I didn't update my bios so still got the 209. Anyway everything worked fine and I could play bf3 for hours. Then the next day when I started the computer after the ASUS logo the screen went black and had a blinking "_" in the upper left hand corner. After tens of restarts I started normally and I could play again. This was last week and I've been playing a lot since then and no problems until this morning after playing Skyrim for the entire last day. It wouldn't start and I've been trying to restart it atleast 30 times. I can enter the bios during ASUS screen but nothing ever happens after that it just stays black with the blinking "_".

I read about a fix if the vflash failed but i've been playing for a week so I don't know if that's the problem?

My bios is 209 and vbios .0383.G730

Hope you guys can help me!

I don't know about the BIOS, or VBIOS because I don't have a machine with ATI. BUT, something you can try is to remove one HDD then try to start your PC, if no help, then replace it and try the other. See if at least something gets better. Try the same with your RAM sticks.

The blinking cursor is better than a black screen, at least. lol

Only have one HDD so don't think that will work. 🙂 Asus G73JH-TY171V
