I notice on that Vista driver has the following note:
Version V11.1.1.2_TIC144580
2008/05/2821.64 MBytes
3945ABG_4965AGN WLAN Driver and Application
3945ABG_4965AGN Wireless Lan Driver and Application for Vista(Please first install the Wireless Console Utility before this driver installation.)
That Wireless Console Utility is a software switch for the WLAN driver. I have a couple laptops (Windows 10 1909) that still have that software running in the background (icon in lower right corner). So I know it's still compatible with Windows 10.
Do you have the Wireless Console Utility installed? Here's a link:

I often install old original drivers, when reinstalling Windows. I make Driver DVDs for all my ASUS laptops, which have all the original drivers and programs. I then use the ASUS Installation Wizard to install the drivers and programs. Then allow Windows to update what it can.
I researched your ASUS laptop but find no Driver DVD source. Do you still have your ASUS Driver DVD that came with your laptop?
