I have a G53SW with Windows 7 and lately it has been having issues.
Initially with the graphics card crashing it would eventually recover and all would be fine.
The second issue with the black screen boot up was resolved when I discharged the laptop.
The third issue was a diskcheck black screen upon start up which counted down from 10-1 and would freeze at 1. After running into this issue I tried performing a diskcheck on my C: drive which would be performed upon the next start up.
Now that I tried to start it up, it has died.
There is no boot up at all.
I have currently tried the following:
-Discharging again
-Different outlets
-With battery/with out battery
-Opening/closing
I have not tried polarizing the magnet that holds the monitor closed and prevents the laptop from waking.
Things to note are that there is no charging light on at all.
The power supply does not light up green light it usually does as well either. It is just off.
Any suggestions?
Seems like its the power supply at the moment but it was just working moments ago before the diskcheck.
