ASUS G53 BAttlefield 3 framerate drop

Every once in a while the frame rate in BF3 will drop on my G53SW any idea what can cause that?

I have the same problem, it seems to be cpu throttling

Thx for the answer 🙂 it seems like this helped but now im sort of concerned about the temperatures in my laptop. Im using the GPU tweak as well...

If you want the GPU tweak here is what you have to do:
install the older version first and then install the new one. it will update the program. it seems like the new one is missing some essential files 🙂

BF3 is pretty intensive on the CPU , I dough the CPU can throttle when playing, it's a notebook, even with a good GPU it's still a notebook GPU, with the limitation of it. Some frame drop is expected in this situation. The op have to quantitate his frame rate, (meaning give us number ) so we can know if it’s in the range of acceptable or if he have a problem same place.

It seems like my problem is gone. I can play it on High settings in 720p without the frame drop now.
