Asus G46VW Problems

Hey guys I've had this laptop for about 5 months now and it has been pretty kind to me. I only have two issues, or well I think they are issues. First off the laptop has shut off on me twice, once about 4 months after I got it, and once about 3 days ago. I'm not sure why this happened, I had it plugged in and it just shut down. My second issue is my idle temps seem kind of high. My core temps are about 40 C for core 0 and my other core stays around 45-50 C. I'm not sure if this is ok for idle temps, however when I game they don't seem to go about 70 C. Also I'm not to sure about this but my fans seem to turn on and off, if someone can clarify why they do this that'd be great! I'm not sure if this is fine or if I should send my g46 to Asus and have them look at it. Any help would be great! Sorry if these questions have been answered before but I did a lot of research on these threads and couldn't find any answers.

From the information, it doesn't shut down by itself frequently, so it won't be hardware problem, don't worry about it.
For the temp problem, it due to the thermal policy, also be relax~

So am I in the clear?

You should be. It is possible that Windows crashed, though doubtful if it didn't blue-screen. The idle temps are normal if you have a warmer room. That's what my G53SX idles at. Not going above 70 C in games is good, and a testament to the ASUS cooling system! 🙂
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!
