Welcome to the ROG forums, Sentence.

The best upgrade you can get for your ASUS G46VW-BSI5N06 is a SSD. I'd recommend the Samsung 840 250GB. 😉

Should i keep the old HD along with the SSD at the same time?

Get a bigger one if you have the money, since more space doesn't hurt anything (except your wallet :p). You can buy an external enclosure and put your old HDD in that. Then you can use it as an external HDD for backup and data storage.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

nice whats a good website for a affordable SSD, and is putting windows 7 on here worth it? will it mess up anything? because id much rather have windows 7 than 8 but i dont want to break anything or make it run bad from the down grade

Did you find anything? if you have the money i would get a mSata. However, it requires a complete disassembly and you can find an excellent video on youtube that i used to install mine. but be careful because the keyboard ribbon is very easy to break and if it breaks there is no easy way to fix it unless you can find a replacement on ebay.
