ASUS G46VW (1600x900) LED Backlight Upgrades quality.

Hi there, I apologize in advance if theres another post from another user in the forum. I would like to know if anyone has got their g46vw with the upgraded (1600x900) LED panel from HIDevolution or not. If so i would very much appreciate if you could post pictures or better a video of it as I am still not sure if its a good thing to upgrade the lcd panel or not as the people in HIDevolution are also not sure if ASUS will be using the same panel as they are.

I just could not makeup my mind if i shud go for the standard LCD panel or upgrade it to the 900p panel for my g46vw that i will be ordering soon. I have tried searching online for pictures, videos or review of the upgraded panel but it seems like all i can find are those of the standard 1366 x 768 panel.

Would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on my doubt.

Here's a link on their "initial reviews" on the 900p screen. No pictures or videos as of yet. They all seem to like it in terms of better picture quality overall when compared to 1366x768. Personally if I were you I'd just get the upgrade for peace in mind. I'm running my laptop on an external monitor 1920x1080 and I can still play games on normal and high settings with decent framerates. So the slight resolution bump shouldn't hinder your GPU

And if you really need to, you can still run games at the lower res to get a bit more performance.
