Edit: for the person that rated this thread a single star, you are missing the point of the posting.

Asus runs out of batteries and power adapters quickly, and if you don't know when they have them in stock you can miss out on getting one - for a long time or forever.

A posting like this is to give a heads up for the forum watchers so they don't miss out.

#hmscott Can understand the logic in giving other users the heads-up about the available power adapters if Asus runs out fast as you say - but curious as to why the need?
I'm the first time owner of an Asus product (G750JH) and are you indirectly telling me & everyone else to grab an extra power adaptor because the one that came with the laptop wont last long?
ROG 750 JH - 256 SSD - 750 HDD - GTX 780M

Ever forget your power adapter at home, and get to work without one? Or, even worse get home for the weekend and unpack your laptop and find you left your power adapter at work? 🙂

It is nice to have one for work, and one for home... and one for travel - but only did that once - had 3 - was very nice.

A couple of extra batteries are nice too. If you plan on running for the length of a transatlantic flight, 3 batteries is usually enough. I got about 3 hours of light use on the JW/JX, I haven't tried going the distance on battery on the JH yet.

I have only had a couple power adapters fail over time, and none of them were Asus...

Can the 230W be used on a JW (180W) or are the connectors different?

For some reason its $10 cheaper to buy the 230W adapter. 🙂

Where did you see both on sale? I didn't see the 180w when I purchased the 230w...

The plastic plug end that goes in the laptop feels larger, but IDK if the connector is the same size.
