Another SSD under existing M2 SSD

Greeting Gents ...

Just to ask , If i can install a new SSD hard drive under the existing M2 drive together ?

so we can have the M2 + SSD ( New one ) + existing HDD

Or i should remove the M2 drive completly ?

You can if you can get it in there. Existing spinner? Not going to happen. If you get a 2.5 Inch SATAIII SSD and remove the outer casing you can get them to fit and devise your own mounting. ASUS played a cruel joke by putting the SATA III connector in the same bay as the M2, the other side is SATA II, makes no sense and then the optical drive is SATA I.

Lots of ideas in that thread from duct tape to thermal pads. Maybe you can devise a better method and add it in with the others for future prosperity.

I just took the thermal pads off of the cage for the original and put them on the SSD that I put in the slot under the M.2 SSD. When I close the bay the M.2 SSD gets depressed onto the thermal pads and stays in place perfectly. Been using it for months and I transport my laptop several times a day which has not caused a single issue.
