After a clean install of windows 7 on G75VX

After I did a clean install of windows 7 ultimate on my Asus G75VX which came preinstalled with windows 8, I had some trouble getting drivers because there were so many to choose from on the Asus website.

I manage to get GPU, keyboard backlight, touchpad, and wifi working.

Although the wifi works, I can't turn it on or off even though I get a popup indicator saying it's on or off; the wifi doesn't turn off, it's always on. I tried downloading wireless radio control driver but I received an error when installing. I even download a wireless switch console 3 driver and it ran in the installer, but nothing happened after that that; totally trolled by the drivers.

Also, my ROG button doesn't do anything now. Is it suppose to do anything?

G75VX here too, got rid off Windows 8, installed windows 7, you have to install Asus ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities downloaded from asus support page of G75VX. and it work with Asus Wireless Console 3 using Fn Key + F2, at least it worked for me.

ROG button will work as switching performance mode, battery mode once you install Power4Gear but its stupid junkware so I never install it, work same as win7's power option, tweak from there 🙂

G75VX here too, got rid off Windows 8, installed windows 7, you have to install Asus ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities downloaded from asus support page of G75VX. and it work with Asus Wireless Console 3 using Fn Key + F2, at least it worked for me, make sure you uninstall wireless radio control driver and only install ATKACPI and Asus Wireless Console 3, if still doesnt work you might have incorrect wireless card driver, double check that, there are quite a few different wireless card depand on what version your G75VX is, for example Best Buy's G75VX is using a different wireless card than other G75VX's, mine is Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless Network Adapter, if yours is same as mine, use the Version V10.0.0.205 driver from G75VX support page, I tried the newer Version V6.30.95.14 at first and it didnt work.
