A couple of questions about G751 series

I have a G751 I use mainly for my photography, I am not a gamer. I have a couple of questions regarding this laptop.
1) Is the SD slot supposed to be spring loaded?
2) Should both fans be running at the same time?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

On the first part, I would have thought it would have a spring latch and when I get home tonight I'll test it for you.
On the second part, this is an assumption but I would assume that the Fan responsible for the video and the fan responsible for the processor would have individual controls so if you're not using a 3D application then one of the fans might not be active.

Tried it, the SD card slot on my G751JY is spring loaded and quite obviously so. Very easy to get cards in and out.
The fans are always on by my experience. I've tried using a sound meter to determine if they ever go off, they don't.
However, the GPU fan goes so low sometimes it might as well not be doing anything at all. At that stage it's basically passively cooling the system.

+1

I just fired mine up too, the SD slot is lock spring loaded and both fans do run but have independent speed control. You can install any number of hardware monitors to see if they are both active.
