750 (jx) issue after win10 reset, this program only supports asus notebooks - solved

i recently reset my hdd while "keeping my files" on windows 10 and was trying to reinstall some of the useful asus apps. but when i tried to install splendid video it tells me it only supports asus notebooks whats going on, this is an asus rog 750 (jx)? i have the rog symbol on the thing here...

bump, why did doing a system reset make the pc think it isn't an asus anymore?

Please install/upgrade the newer ATK (ASUSTek?) driver for Win10 to help recognize your system as an ASUS notebook in Windows.
