I guys there are people who have posted this before but I just wanna clarify and find out more about the performance of these screen for the asus g46vw. Can anyone please help me out on this as to which screen plays best on gaming with higher settings.

Also I would like to know is it worth it to upgrade my processor to Intel® Core™ i7-3720QM 2.6GHz? Will there be massive improvements on the upgrade as I am deciding on either a Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM 2.3GHz or Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM 2.4GHz

Comments and suggestions will be very much appreciated.

the smaller one obviously is better since the resolution is lower so u can have higher details and settings with better performance
ASUS G75VW-T1086V

Memory: 16 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz. RAM
Storage: 256 GB LiteOn LAT-256M3S SSD + 1 TB Seagate Momentus 5400 RPM HDD
Graphics: GeForce GTX 670M 3 GB GDDR5 RAM

Thanks for the info danishkid.

You realize he could get the better res for everything but gaming. Games have resolution settings for a reason. He could set the res in-game to 720P and have an overall better monitor in the longrun.

@OP
Go for the 1600x900 monitor. It is a better choice. HIDevolution has it available and I have heard good things about it.

Thanks for the info. Between which processor are you referring to?

Oh the Intel core i7 3720QM is better but it has a little bit better performance but it's not worth the price depending on how much you pay but I wouldn’t take that step
How much are you paying more for this processor?

For i7-3630 is additional $125 and for i7-3720 is $275. Well I am not sure if its worth it. I would be very grateful if you could advice me on whether its worth to pay that much or not.

No don’t do it.

Use that money to but an SSD that’s much better and you see a big difference.

The Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM is good i have it 2. Only thing you use your processor very much is for rendering movies. Then it runs 100%

So use the money for an SSD or extra RAM or something else like a gaming mouse.

About your resolution i should really recommend 1600X900. It's much better for gaming its sharper. 1366x768 is old you don’t wane have that and it gives you lower screen space then 1600X900. (you have more vision)

And for gaming playing with higher resolution is heavy but you can run all games on Ultra/high

Here is an list about your graphic card GTX 660M:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-660M.71859.0.html

And that is based on 1920X1080 resolution the FPS score so you can have more FPS and 1600X900
