Hi,
Few days ago, I was turning on my laptop and it wouldn't turn on even with the adapter plugged in, on ASUS website I found this solution which is the Hard Rest, and it worked. Yesterday when I turn on the laptop, I notes that the battery is not charging, it stuck on 8% and it is empty because if I unplug the adapter cable it will turn off immediately.
I'm using the original adapter from Asus, and I did all the possible solution.
Fix 1: Check For Hardware Issues on My Asus app.
Fix 2: Check The Battery n My Asus app, no issue defected.
Fix 3: Check The AC Adapter on My Asus app, it detects a problem with it.
Fix 4: Update The Device Driver.
Fix 5: Power Cycle Your Asus Laptop with Hard Reset.
Fix 6: Run The Power Trouble shooter.
Fix 7: Run SFC Scan.
Fix 8: Reset The BIOS.
Fix 9: Reset windows.
I tried different adapter but with the same issue.
Unfortunately, the problem is not solved, I bought it on 22-Nov-2022 and I'm really disappointed with this laptop, I was using surface pro for years and I had no issue with it, specially I’m not using this device with heavy usage, only office and browsing, I got it because it looks cool. 😞
Any ideas how to fix this issue?
Thanks

Aloha,
I have this tablet/laptop and am a systems admin/engineer with over 24 years under my belt. I have troubleshoot this issue and here are my findings:
1) You CAN NOT use the power adapter in a surge protector. I don't know why, but the adapter *must* be plugged directly into a wall socket to remain stable.
2) Do not use the upper USB-C port, use the lower one that is covered by a rubber cover (just remove it, you won't be using it again).
3) Do not plug an additional charger into the upper USB-C port - this does nothing.
4) Do not leave the tablet running/sleep mode. Power it off when you're done.
5) Alter your Power Options as need in Control Panel>Power. Some of the options aren't needed.
6) If you're using the thing for gaming - Open ASUS Armoury Crate, and tweak your power usage as needed to achieve equilibrium.
The tablet/laptop is a fine piece of machinery, however you can actually configure it to not get enough power from the adapter. It took me quite a while to figure out what was going on.
Cliff's notes:
Plug power directly into wall socket (no power strip/surge protector)
Only use the lower USB-C port for charging
Tweak your Power Options

I had my rog flow z13 device 1 month from purchase date then same issue. I turned off device, next day tried turning it on wont start had to plug it in it started but would no longer charge or run on battery. RMA it, after approx. 1 month of being out for RMA in Canada I check status online and it states that it is in final testing yaaa. Then I get an email from Asus indicating Canada repair depot is to busy so they are sending my Z13 to the United Stated to be repaired and they say it will be approx. 7 days to be repaired. I find that hard to believe that it will only be 7 days we will see. I am also regretting this purchase as now I fear after reading all the threads here about the C port battery charging issue re-accuring. So am thinking this machine may have reoccurring issues, I guess time will tell. So here I sit using my old Acer Windows tablet waiting for my brand new flow Z13 😞
