NEW BIOS: 306 for Asus ROG Flow Z13 2023 (GZ301VU)

Asus released a new BIOS version 306 yesterday. Anybody had any issues after updating?

I updated the bios with the windows setup exe. file and it went smoothly, however I saw some weird text at some point...I think it was "SUN" and "MON" before the update started...but it went quickly and without my intervention. Checking in device manager the version in now 306 and without any issues.

Anybody experience something similar?

I had the same text with SUN and MON in the BIOS. I suspect this is a typographical error as it usually says something about monitor.

As far as problems go, well, since the update, the TDP has been throttled to about 19 watts in quiet mode, before that it was 35 watts in long-term consumption. Windows mode is limited to 35 watts, but I was able to fix this with Intel XTU and a new installation of Armory Crate. Now it's 50 watts in TDP, before it was 45 watts.
But this time the update eats its way deeply into the system and you can't get rid of the power limit of 19 watts, even with a BIOS downgrade. The unreasonably low power limits of the XG Mobile and the abnormally high clock rates in turbo mode were not touched.

Noticed Changes
Lowering the power limits in Quiet mode
Increasing the TDP in Windows mode
Windows Mode - Increased clock rates Sinbglecore from 4500 MHz to 4600 MHz
Quiet Mode - increase clock speed Sinbglecore from 4200MHz to 4500MHz

Interesting text: "SUN" and "MON" must be a typographical error by the engineer I suppose. In the warehouse they had one Z13 on display and the seller agreed to make the same BIOS update and guess what! The same "SUN" and "MON" happened also on this unit. 

Seems the update will result in better battery life good that Turbo mode remained untouched!

Reinstall via MyAsus cloud recovery that should fix it!  It will make a factory reinstall!

Update to BIOS 306

1. The Text SUN = OK and MON = cancel
2. In Batterie Mode the System and the Powerlimits Run fine. BUT in Powersuply Mode the TDP´s was hard reduce.
Example: Windows Mode AKKU=50-55 Watt, Powersuply 35 Watt
This Porblem wuns Arround all modis, self the Turbo Mode was reduce from 75 Watt to 45 Watt, absoluty chaos.

With Intel XTU, you can set alittle bit more power, but that cant be the Plan!

When you have an other PC, you can download from the Webside an Biosversion for updaten via USB its easy.
1. Download version 302 or 305
2. extrakt the ZIP File to an FAT32 formatet USB-Stick
3. Boot Up the Flow Z13 and press F2 for Bios
4. Switch with F7 into the expert view
5. Go to the secound kategorie "Advanced" i mean
6. Scroll down to the Point ASUS EZ Flash 3 Utility
7. Folow the instruktion
8. Selekt the USB-Stick and the File
9. press OK and wait
The Flow z13 must be connekted with the Powersuply
10. The Flow Z13 starts 3 times and boot after this in your Windows

I updated to 306 and now armoury crate complains if I try to play COD MW2 in silent mode.. that something has changed..

reinstalling armoury crate and so on did not help..

Mine got bricked no idea  what I should do just get a blank screen after the update.  tried holding power nothing worked. I'm under warranty but I don't want any tech in India breaking my device open. I was in ultimate mode when the bios was updated. This is very bad. I made a fat32 stick and copied the bios update but there is no way to get to bios.
