Mouse cursor jumps to right top corner of the screen and gets stuck in that area

I've been encountering an issue where at times the mouse cursor (even when no scrolling is being done on the touchpad. ex: I could be watching a video on it, and not be near the computer, and it will suddenly occur) it will suddenly hop to the top left corner of the screen and get stuck there, trying to scroll somewhere else on the screen tends not to work it may move with in the X box that would be in that top corner on a window, but would snap back into the corner again. I've tried using an external mouse, and I've tried turning off and on the touchpad  off and on with the FN+F10 button (and turning the touchpad off and tried to use an external mouse with it off), but the issue persists. I recently found if I use CTRL+ALT+DELETE (bringing up the lock, task manager, etc options on screen) the mouse cursor is then back fully under control again. Anyone have any idea why this mouse cursor issue may be occurring, and what I can do to stop it from happening going forward? I tried reinstalling the touchpad driver(s), but it still continued to have the issue occur. It is a ROG Flow X-16 system if that's of any significance.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
