Ideas for future rog flow z13

The ROG Flow Z13 (also 2025 ) is often referred to as an all-rounder when it's not specifically labeled as a gaming tablet by reviewers. Personally, it feels like many compromises have been made with this device.

One thing that often gets joked about is the camera. Besides the fact that the quality is pretty mid, it could actually be interesting to add extra features like eye tracking for alternative navigation, or a dot matrix sensor that could enable basic 3D scanning. Depending on the use case, that could actually be quite useful.

Another idea would be a lightweight, easily detachable Bluetooth keyboard cover. That would be a huge plus for this form factor and something not easily achievable with the Flow X13.

Thunderbolt 5 (or at least USB 4.2) support should definitely be included. With the new generation of external GPUs, anything less would be a dealbreaker.

As for the design, it should be more case-friendly. And while the glass window looks cool, it does feel kind of awkward when you're actually holding the tablet in your hands.

The display should ideally be Mini LED or OLED—the current one is great overall, but lacks in black levels.

It would also be nice if the screen was easier to remove—maybe secured with screws instead of plastic clips—so users could clean or access the fans more regularly.

The speakers (just like the camera) definitely need an upgrade.

And finally, how about a water-resistant coating for the internals? Could be useful—and at the very least, great for marketing. 😄

My goal is simply to share some ideas that, in my opinion, could make the ROG Flow Z13 a better all-rounder for work, gaming, artists (it needs better stylus support), modelers, 3D printing, and more.
