I use the Flow X16 (2023) sometimes with closed lid on the table, and login through RDP. I then let it do some heavy calculations, stressing its CPU on overdrive / high performance setting. The laptop will then always suddenly hard-power-off after a couple of minutes.
The thermals are very good on this laptop. I monitor the CPU temperature, and it stays below 95 °C all the time, on average around 85 °C. The laptop chassis also doesn’t feel hot to the touch.
I am not sure what is causing this. I suspect a temperature sensor somewhere on the motherboard since the power off is hard, and without a blue screen. Is there any such sensor, and can it be adjusted/optimized? Any ideas?
PS This doesn't happen when the lid is open.

After about a week with ASUS support, they can't confirm nor deny this is a specific issue on my laptop, or that it affects all x16 models. They simply request to send the laptop for repair. But how can you repair something if you don't even know whether its broken or not?
Utter waste of time...
