After updating to the current BIOS version 316, my device is experiencing coil whining and rattling! The CPU boosts extremely aggressively and unnecessarily high in several situations, which leads to increased power consumption and temperatures, which in turn causes the fans to turn up more.
The coil whining does not occur under full or heavy load.
A rollback to a previous version is no longer possible because ASUS has forbidden us to do this and the option was probably removed in version 313.
Action by ASUS is urgently needed because the devices with the acoustic load are no longer usable! Either we get a new version without the problem, or an adapted version of the 316 with a rollback to 313 please. Since the version is internally dated January 24, 2024, there would have been enough time to notice and test this!
I am not sure whether the device is not also physically damaged by the error, as this appears to be caused by incorrect control of the power supply. Tests with appropriate tools showed that undervolting or adjusting the CurvedOtimicer has no effect on the beeping.

After about 2 weeks of mailing back and forth, sending soundclips etc this is the final answer as it seems.
"I have talked with our other department about this and there will come a new BIOS for the computer in the future there will solve this. Unfortunately I do not have a time / date for when it will be released yet. They told me that it would take a few weeks before it will be released unfortunately. "
I must say that I am quite sad to see the response from ASUS knowing that they already knew about this and other people got about the same answer and still no bios update to download - months later. It's the most expensive computer I've ever bought and this experience just makes my annoyed. For once - why did ASUS stop users from downgrading in the first place? They even told me to downgrade and gave me the link to the 313 version. I had to tell them that it's impossible to downgrade without hackish methods and winflash. Their support didn't know about this questionable decision by ASUS. My computer, my choice - atleast so I thought. As of now, I have to live with this strange noise and a slight fear of how it may affect the hardware. Not enjoyable at all.

V317 was released. The issue is solved, at least for me.
P.S.
I also recommend installing the latest AMD Adrenalin software and drivers from the AMD site. They are working much better with new bios. Asus video drivers are problematic.

Must be a regional thing I can only find 316 (and older). Guess I have to wait a few days. Or can you specify a link to where you found it?

It came via MyAsus yesterday. I can't find it on the website. Maybe you should wait a couple of days. My model GV302XI. Region Ukraine.

I spoke too fast. Even with v317 there is these rattling noises, but more silent. It actually took me a day or two before I noticed it in total silence. So the problem persists but in a milder form. I hope it is not hw defect due to 316.

I have the X13 GV302-X with the v317 and this 1500 bucks notebook is unusable. BSOD every 2, 3, 5 minutes...After a clean reinstall that took me about 20 BSOD could manage to reinstall Windows. AMD SW Upadted. My ASus sw updated. Armory Crated updates. Still, suddenly, Blue Screen.

Don't update to V317. It will crash Windows every 5 minutes. If you can, please go back to 313 unitil 318 or newer appears/posted.
