Asus ROG Flow Z13

Hello, please help: I was working on my Asus ROG Flow z13 (standard mode) without any overclocking or special configuration, afterwards I turned it off and went to bed, while the vendor specific cable was still plugged in over night. In the morning I wanted to continue my work, but when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. The proper USB charging cable was still plugged in, but the charging indicator light on the left side(orange) was dark. I tried to hold the turn on button for a certain time, nothing happened - which is not surprising since it looks like the notebook isn’t charging at all.

After a research I found a post in the Asus community - they fixed a similar issue with a hardware reset but there was no manual how to do a hardware reset, and also no description in which condition the tablet need to be to do so.

I have certain skills in to open some pc’s and fixing some hardware issues, but I never worked on a tablet, I only want to try it on my own as a last resort. My question is, does anybody had a similar problem, and have you found a solution without Asus customer service?

Sadly my warranty expired a few months ago, so I hope there is no hardware defect(which I’m concerned there is) - if it is a hardware defect it will be expensive to fix it, I think.

many thanks for helping me.

Here are a few more things you could try:

1. Check the charging cable: Make sure that the charging cable is securely plugged into both the laptop and the power adapter. Try using a different cable if you have one.

2. Check the power adapter: Make sure that the power adapter is working properly. You can try plugging it into another device to see if it works.

3. Check the charging port: Make sure that the charging port on the laptop is clean and free of any debris. You can try using a cotton swab to clean it out.

4. Try a different outlet: Plug the power adapter into a different outlet to see if that makes a difference.

5. Check the battery: If the battery is damaged or faulty, it may be preventing the laptop from turning on. You can try removing the battery (if it's removable) and then plugging the laptop in to see if it will turn on.
