I am looking forward to the new ASUS ROG Flow Z13 2025 models with the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 CPU with its unified quad-channel memory, amazing for something in this form factor. The model GZ302EA-XS96 with 32GB ram is supposed to be available in February for purchase, at $2,199.99 MSRP, however, the model with 128GB of memory (model GZ302EA-XS99), there is no known release date or pricing for it...any clue? I would rather buy the model with 128GB ram as that is what was advertised as the model that can handle decent size models (70BP) and in the announcement claimed to beat a RTX 4090 at it (although a RTX 4090 doesn't have enough memory to run a 70BP model).
Also, the models with 32GB ram, if anyone knows when in February they will be available for purchase, please do share. I am thinking of picking one up to replace my travel laptop before my February trip.

Also, does anyone know which version of USB4 does the new Flow Z13 come with? USB4 v1 only supports 40Gbps, while USB4 v2 supports up to 80/120Gbps, and as the new XG eGPU uses TB5, to take full advantage of it, will need USB4 v2.

I was under the belief that it came with USB 4v1 - there are multiple close-ups of the USB C ports from various tech reviewers and the prerelease version has “40 Gbps” printed under the ports. Look up Linus, Dave2D, or Mathew Moniz preview videos and I believe at least one of them does a close up of the USB C ports with the lettering visible.
Curiously, though, the Asus ROG booth had the Z13 right beside the new XG eGPU. I wonder if they might have an adapter that allows the XG to connect to both USB C ports simultaneously, as that would be a combined 80Gbps. I’m not convinced the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU in the XG would need more than that and I am very very certain that the 395+ in the Z13 could easily handle input/output through 2 ports simultaneously.
That won’t really affect my purchase decision, though, as I am wanting one of these to process 3D scans and game at night while traveling- so I’ll be using internal GPU/CPU most of the time.

The 128GB version is now visible on the “notify me” page. $2,699.99. Link below.
That’s likely the one I’ll be preordering. Given that the pricing is now available, I am optimistic that it won’t be too far behind the 32GB models. If the memory was not unified, it might be a bit expensive, but considering the CPU and GPU share the same RAM pool, anyone that *might* use this for 3D modeling, large 3D point clouds, large VMs, or processing very heavy textures should definitely go for the 128GB model. Likely overkill for gaming but I believe a lot of creative professionals are going to shop a device like this for both gaming and work.

May be not all the markets are available to get the 128gb version

Asus announced the 32GB variant would be available "late February 2025" with no mention of the 128GB variant. Maybe the 128GB is released alongside the 32GB but more than likely it'll come at a later date that as of 1-31-25 has not been announced yet.

You are right, I agree with you.
