2021 ROG Flow Not Displaying To External Monitor When Lid Closed

2021 ROG Flow X13: Features a Ryzen™ 9 5980HS CPU and GeForce® GTX GPU

I have the above laptop, when I have the laptop attached via HDMI and the lid open I can see the duplicated display. When closing the lid, the external display turns off. 

I have the 'Performance' mode selected in Control Panel and 'Do Nothing' selected for when closing the lid.

Any way to keep the laptop displaying to a external monitor when the lid is closed?

Select Display only on (external monitor) of your choosing and then the lid can be closed without issue.
