I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) from the retail CD.
When booting from the CD upon startup, I am greeted with a BSOD.
"The BIOS is not fully ACPI complaint. Please contact your computer manufacturer for an update".
What I have tried:
-disabling Secure Boot
-enabling the "other option" instead of UEFI in boot mode
-enabling CSM
-booting from a USB instead (same effect)
-tweaking the CD for UEFI support (turns out my retail CD has SP1 integrated, and therefore is already UEFI compatible)
When keeping CSM disabled and leaving Secure Boot disabled, it will restart instead of giving me a BSOD and automatically reconfig the UEFI BIOS to re-enable CSM.
I'm out of options, does anyone know how to go through with this?
