Upgrading G20

Hey guys,

I got my ASUS G20 with i3 some time ago and it just didn't run as I wanted. Had some problems running steam as I really only play counter strike. I haven't touched my ASUS in a few months and am looking to upgrade the CPU and graphics card. Right now Im looking at a 1050ti for graphics and I'm torn between the i7 4490 and the i5 4460. What would y'all recommend or maybe even something totally different. I use the computer for steam and programming thats pretty much it as I have a Macbook Pro for my everyday items.

1050 ti is a nice GPU card with a nice price.I vote for the Intel i7-6700K 4.0 Ghz who i put in my G20 case http://ark.intel.com/sv/products/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_20-GHz But the I7-6700HQ 3.4 Ghz is also a nice CPU http://ark.intel.com/sv/products/88196/Intel-Core-i7-6700-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz

the i7-6700k I believe won't work as it is an LGA of 1151 and we need an 1150. Can anyone confirm this?*

....correct and you also have to look at the latest available Bios on that mobo and make sure the Bios date does not pre-date the cpu release. (In some cases)

And what version of G20 are you running with this 1150 mother board.
