The GR8 already comes with 8GB of SODIMM memory and there's another open slot for upgrade. It would be highly recommended that you try buying the same brand memory, same model, and if you can't find the same model then at least try to buy RAM with the same speed. Since I don't own a GR8 I don't know what the default memory used inside is, you should open up and take out the RAM to check. Better yet, you can take the RAM with you to the computer shop or go online to look for a similar model.
For the SSD I would recommend the SAMSUNG 850 EVO, SAMSUNG 850 PRO, and SanDisk X300 (good value). I'm only suggesting the ones I have purchased before, I also had the Crucial MX200 but had some issues with it (both replacements caused BSOD, so had to return and swap for the X300).
