Hello

My asus rog gr6 fan has started to make loud noises even when idling. CPU temperatures from 40-60 C. what could be the problem? I even reinstalled windows 10. It's only 3months old.

Also should I get the graphic driver from asus support for my geforce 960m or from the geforce driver site?

I suggest that you download the proper drivers from GeForce web page. The fan and heat problem is another issue.Check through the task manager if there is any software who is making your computers life harder than usual when it runs. The second who i dont recommend if you dont have the proper experience is to open it up and change the CPU cooling paste. My choice will be the Arctic Silver CPU heat paste. But when i read that it is only three months old i suggest that you contact the place there you bought the computer and use your warranty.Hope you will solve it out when the Asus ROG GR6 is a nice little computer. 🙂

Thank you for the answer! 🙂
I dont see anything that use much cpu in task manager

I have scanned computer for malware and its clean, and there shouldnt be any since i reinstalled windows. Guess I'll have to take it back to the store.

the temperature is around 40 C on idle is that normal? and about 1738rpm on fan

Well, its not unnormal (hope i got the english right there) that you have a temp at 40C when its a tight little box to run all this hardware in.But if you feel insecure about the fan speed take it back to the store if you could.

Well my friend who knows computers opened it up and said that the fan is not in good condition. i have owned it in 3 and 1/2 months. gonna try to change it myself dont want to wait weeks to get it repaired.

guess its the downside of console pc , not easy to change parts/upgrade , not worth it ?

Thats the true computer spirit.I hold my thumbs that it works out.And its worth it as long as yourself think that.
