G22CH SSD expansion?

Just bought a G22CH DS766. I was told by Geek Squad that it had an available M.2 SSD slot so I could add another SSD. They said it would take any M.2 SSD... except not the one that fits the PS5, apparently...I see there are several kinds, gens, form factors...

I also see that the specs mention that the 2nd M.2 slot is for WiFi?  (see screenshot)

I don't want to spend the money and then find out what I bought won't work.  Which M.2 SSD parameters do I need? Or are they wrong and the G22CH DS766 does not take an additional M.2 SSD at all?   I'm looking at three Amazon listings:

WD_BLACK 2TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 7,300 MB/s - WDS200T2X0E

Western Digital WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen4 PCIe, M.2 2280, Up to 5,150 MB/s - WDS100T3X0E

Seagate FireCuda 530 ZP1000GM3A013 1 TB Solid State Drive, M.2 2280 Internal, PCI Express NVMe, Black

I could not find this anyplace, and I've been googling and combing posts for hours. Thanks for any info on it.

Hi kalysh, I'm glad this helps just a heads up if you are installing the wd 2tb and 32gb ram you will need to initialize the drive in windows and the ram will boot to a command prompt saying there is new hardware don't worry it will let you continue to the bios and just set to xmp on and then will boot to windows

I'm taking it to BB and they'll do the work. I don't trust myself since I became a doddering old fool.  But, I did read that this chip, the 13700F, the F designator will not overclock at all.  So I thought that would mean the XMP choice would not be on the machine.  I was planning to double-check the bios anyway when I get it back, and see if there's an XMP setting and if they set it, just in case.  I have to give them specific instructions or they'll miss things (like 450 GB of data transfer).  What you just told me is a relief to know.

Yes you are right xmp is auto and the f on the intel processor means you can't overclock and it doesn't have integrated graphics the overclock able processors have a k after the number (13700k) or if it is (13700kf) then it's overclock able but doesn't have integrated graphics and the ram hope bb doesn't charge restock fee they like to do that as for ram they did use sodimm to get the board as slim as possible I think this might be because asus acquired intel nuc and this is the out come sorry you have to go through this kalysh

Wow!   I just talked to BB and fortunately they said they would not charge a restock fee. It would be nice if ASUS indicated someplace obvious that this desktop system uses laptop RAM... like in the specs, the manual, etc.  I only found it by looking at Task Manager/Performance (had to look up how).  So far it looks like it's all going to work out in time.  I'm so glad I know this now, before dropping it all off.  It's a PIA but I knew switching systems after 6 years would be a PIA.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree that asus needs to update the website and maybe put a compatibility list on the manual, box somewhere because there are so many different pc parts out it's hard to keep up with so I'm glad everything is working out for you kalysh

So there is 2 m.2 one is operating system the other is for expansion, 2 sodimm aka laptop ram,and a desktop lga 1700 processor socket that can take intel 13/14th gen processors 14th with the new bios

What a great photo!  I saved it in case I ever decide to do something on my own.  You have been so helpful, I can't thank you enough.

O and the ram that is compatible with this pc is laptop ram I hope that's what you ordered

It is not... it is DIMM, not SODIMM.  Is that how you tell the difference? But I'm sure it said Desktop not laptop.  Well, hopefully BB will take it back once they see it's not compatible.  They told me "any" DDR5 RAM  with speed of 4000 to 5600 would work.  The bad part of this scenario is I'll be without a computer for longer while I reorder... I don't want to lug these buggers around any more than I have to.  The G22 isn't too bad - at lease it has a handle on the box. But my old computer is a lot bigger and more awkward to carry.
