G20BM - FTP file transfer and file extraction low performance

Hi,

I recently acquired the ROG G20BM and noticed that this computer has a slow file transfer speed including file extraction from a zip file for example.
98% of the times it can't extract more than 40 MB/s, while transfer in average 100 MB/s. There where very rare cases where it extracted and transfer faster (normally - comparing with another computer at home with windows 10 too).

Not sure if it is related but I can not transfer each file from an FTP server more than 1.8 Mbps. If I transfer only one it is 1.5 Mbps. If I transfer 4 at same time same speed. So it is not the FTP server or internet provider.
It seems something in the PC (software wise) is limiting the available resources.

Initially thought it was ROG GameFirst, but followed a recommendation to completely remove SW and remaining traces.

Doing a benchmark test, it says that all components are according to expectations, with the exception of the memory RAM. Not sure what else it is necessary to check on RAM. Do you have any tips?

Any input is appreciated and specially considering this may be 2 different issues. One most probably is SW but the other (extractions) could be either SW or HW.

If something is wrong with your PCs memory, that can cause all sorts of issues. Far as transferring from a FTP, what connection are you using, wireless or wired? How's your internet speed on say speedtest.net vs what you expect?

I am using wireless.

The speedtest is according to is expected and purchased (50Mbps). Tested normal download from browser and most of the cases reach the bandwidth available. When using filezilla, I can reach also max speed but only if have several downloads. But each download is capped to 1,8 MB/s.
Checked filezilla version and settings against the one in my Surface pro 2 and they the same.

Did you change the driver version to the one from Lenovo's website? Look through the forums it's been referenced many times, wireless is an issue and you can experience packet loss/network connectivity issues.
