G20 GTX770 crashing when gaming

I have a G20 with a GTX770 that has worked fine for a couple of weeks.

About two weeks ago it started crashing when putting load on the graphics card.
It seems like it crashes when I'm putting a high load on the GPU and when exiting the game and the load suddenly drops it crashes with a lots of artifacts before totally freezing (afterwards i have to do a hard reset or it does one itself). So it feels like its trying to engage the built in card, hence i disabled it without any luck (not changing the fact the computer is crashing).

Things i have done to the computer:

Updated the RAM to 16 gigs
Uninstalled virtuwatt

Things i have done to the computer after it started crashing:

Reverted drivers.
Installed the latest drivers.
Bios upgrade.
Done a clean windows 8.1 install.
Dona a clean windows 10 install.
In hardware manager disabled the intel card.
Turned off all the ECO stuff in windows and put the windows power options to high performance.
Put PCIE as default graphics hardware in BIOS.

So it feels like I have done everything in my power to get rid of the problems.

Usually nothing of interest turns up in the event logs, sometimes i get the standard windwos "graphics drivers have stopped and needed to reset".

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure it's the gpu causing the problem? There is a possiblity that the ram is causing problems, maybe one of the sticks is malfunctioning or something so when its underload it crashes the system. Another problem could be that you gtx 770 isn't cooling properly (defective fans?) Try removing the gpu and installing it again, clean it up get rid of dust and stuff. Also make sure the ram is working correctly. If you have another pc, you can transfer parts over to make sure they are working correctly and narrow down the problem. Be careful though mishandling things will cause even more problems

Thanks for the advice, I have allready performed a series of runs with memtest without any problems detected, and the fans are operating correctly. But I'll try running the system without the extra stick of RAM and if that doesnt work remove the original stick. I'll also remove the graphics card and check for anything strange. Shouldnt be that dusty though, only had the computer a month or so. I cant find the built in card in device manager anymore but thats probably driver specific.

It's strange becouse the crash comes when the load drops.

One scenario could be:

Playing for 25 minutes, no problems. I have to tend to something else and thus exiting the game. Within 5-30 secs after the exit the computer crashes.

Another scenario:

Playing for 30 minutes, no problems. The game goes to a cut scene or a not so GPU intensive stage, system crash.

For the record, its not the same game or anything like that. And just to clarify, this is not something that happans just "sometimes". This happens everytime I play a GPU intesive game. So this computer is pretty worthless right now. If I cant this thing to work this week I'll return it.

Might be windows 10?

It's exactly the same on 8.1.

Exchanged the RAM sticks, same behavior. Thinking this might be a power issue with the graphics card. Set all performance options to high, no difference.

The problem was the motherboard. All the parts are working together on another motherboard.
