G20 AJ & Titan X? doable? not?

I know it's probably inconceivable but you think there will be a version of the Titan X that would work with the G20?

current specs on the net say it is a 250W card.

I suppose we'd have to settle on the GTX 980 huh?

Would Asus release higher capacity external PSUs for the G20 system to compensate? like say a 2nd 230w or maybe a 300w PSU to replace the 180 or 230?

i think i'll wait until next summer and see what Asus ROG can come up with in a Ref card form factor either as a 980TI or with a TITAN X cuz Im holding off replacing the GTX 760 in the G20AJ US009S

I am confident enough to say that, the next G20 perhaps in 2017 might come with better flexibility within the case. The current one is well designed, perfectly imo for it's size. However, if people truly wish to throw a titan in there, better of having the side panel modded out with grill holes for in-take and out-take air.

because otherwise, it's a waste on having the card there, it will just end up having a dynamic frequency scaling (throttling) in a long run.

Not true at all. I have a GTX 980 TI and never go above 75c with a custom MSI Afterburner fan profile (Fan doesn't even go above 70% pretty quiet actually) with zero throttling ever. I have the i7 4790K and it never goes above 73c with several hours of GTA 5 (GTA 5 is very a CPU intensive game) with Gelid Extreme thermal paste. Never break 65c on the CPU with Far Cry 4 maxed out.

THE BEAST MINI
Asus G20AJ
i7 4790K @ 4.0Ghz
Asus GTX 980 TI Reference Model
16GB Corsair DDR3
2x Samsung 850 EVO 500GB in RAID 0
180W Asus PSU
330W Dell/Alienware PSU (D/P 0J408P)

Is it possible to move everything in the PC to another tower an buying like a 800 watt power supply?

As I pointed out in another thread, anything is possible, w/modifications, but for the most part, No. The m/b isn't a standard one, nor are the power supplies.

Once again the G20AJ is quit a nice capable system, w/quit a punch for it's size, w/the memory expandable up to 16 GB, which is the norm w/socket 1150 CPU's, w/the CPU expandable up to the i7-4790K, and the video card, up to a standard Nvidia Reference Design GTX 980, and w/a Dell 330W power supply, a Reference GTX 980Ti.

If you wanted to max out everything, hardware wise, or overclock everything, then the G20AJ was the wrong system to buy in the first place.

Alienware just came out w/their third generation of their X51, which supports Intel's sixth generation of CPU's, which is water cooled as an option, and which allows overclocking, and offers the use of an external video card w/it's own power supply, which supports a Titan X. The only problem w/the system at the moment is, is the available selection of CPU's for it. There's nothing available from Intel, in the 6th generation of processors, which can really out perform the i7-4790K, yet.
