CPU compatibility list for G20AJ Socket Intel LGA 1150

Dear All,

I suspect a CPU failure into my G20AJ.
CPU Intel Core i7 4790
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
MB Intel H97

For diagnostic, I would buy a cheaper CPU and check if G20AJ will raise from death with this new one. If Yes, then i will buy the Core i7 4790.

I'd like confirmation if I can perform above testing with CPU Intel Celeron G1840 (2.8 GHz) same Socket LGA 1150 as for Core i7 4790 but Celeron is 53W and i7 4790 is 84W.
