Can I use different brands of RAM for a G20AJ upgrade?

Hello! I've upgraded my cpu and gpu, but now I'm eyeing the ram. My G20AJ came with 8 gigs of laptop ram, Listed Here: https://goo.gl/dbj4VW

Would I be able to install another brand? Say, this stick? https://goo.gl/tGC77s

Thank you for your time!

PC Specs:

i7-4770s
Asus 1060 Turbo
8 ddr3
1 TB HDD

Sure, go for it. I've already installed HyperX DDR3L 16 gigs in my G20AJ. What temps are u getting with the I7-4770 btw ? Normally this chip runs hot as hell compared to the 4790k

Thank you for the go ahead!

Normally, I'll average a temperature of about 60-64 degrees Celsius under load. I cranked the fan speed up to 75% while gaming, causing the temps to sit around 50 degrees. Idle, with the fans tuned to anything above 25%, she sits at about 35 degrees. I originally purchased the 's" version of the 4770 thinking it would run cooler, and also because I was still a novice and bought the first i7 I saw with a LGA 1150 socket size 😛

What do you use to tune up your CPU fan speeds ?

It's not advisable to mix memory models in any computer or laptop so if you are getting a different model it's best to replace everything. If both sticks support the same voltage, speed, and timings then different models can work together but instability and configuration headaches are more likely, especially when running higher speeds. Having a matched set purchased as a single kit is the most reliable memory configuration.
