I have seen this a few times and its quite hard to tell from what you said, it could be a power brick issue but can be expensive to find out as a new power brick will be like £150 and for that price you can sell your system for parts or spares and just buy another fully working system off ebay. btw do you leave your pc always plugged into the wall 24/7?
