Asus G20, Nvidia GTX 960 Upgrade...Jumper Hell

So I am attempting to upgrade my G20's anemic 745 to a PNY 960 GTX.

I have the correct parts

PNY 960GTX 4GB XLR8 Reference cooler
180W PSU
230w PSU
8 pin to 6 pin Power Cable

I've got the card to fit ( Just barely), but now I am stuck on the jumper layout.
I've searched this forum high and low for the correct jumper positons, but all I can find are conflicting reports.

Here is a photo of my current setup (not working)

Can anyone help me?

Dear volvoshinez ,

Are all jumpers UP as default? if yes, dont touch it.

I had GTX 980 as stock on my G20AJ and all jumpers were UP. Upgraded the gpu to a GTX980Ti with no jumper changes, works flawless.

No, they where all down when I opened the case.. It came with the 745 GTX

The answer is posted in multiple threads about new graphics cards and upgrades, just sit down and read a few threads, it's the jumpers and yours are not set for that combo, you may also need a new GPU PS.
That too is in the nine bazillion existing threads on the subject.

and yes I'm being a PITA about it, if new users don't bother to even look for the existing threads then what use is it for anyone to write in them?

I've checked all the threads... There is no clear answer for the 745 to the 960...Lots and lots for the 980.. but nothing for the 960.

Don't be a pita just give the correct answer if u have one . that's why they are here for answers, and doing a search seldom brings up the correct answer in the first post and there are zillion of posts. if I knew the answer id feely give it.

Thank you!

I'm pretty tech savvy... and good at searching for info...But this issue has Confounded me!!

[rant]More power to you then, if all anyone did was come in and post a question without ever bothering to even browse through the forum first you get a lopsided forum that's all about take, take, take, and never any give.

I don't support that thinking, we're not google, we're an attempt at a community and teaching people to fish as opposed to just sending them to McDonald's is the way I like to think we can work. Seriously, this issue is all over the place, in under 5 minutes the OP could have seen dozens of posts related to jumpers and video cards, and even more about power supplies.

Just posting a question without even looking to see if it's already been posted screams "it's all about me, me me" not "how can we make things better by being part of a community"[/rant]

I never once uttered the word "search" since I know how much it bites, I suggested some simple reviews of the existing threads, then they'd also find the fantastic posts that others have contributed to the community, how is that something you don't want to encourage?
