【Fun Fact】Did you know games on Google Play Store have 'achievements'?

If you like video games and often play them, you should be familiar with the "achievement (or trophy)" system.

SONY Playstation, Microsoft XBOX, STEAM... these game platforms all have rich achievements for us to challenge.

When you achieve a specific goal or reach certain milestones, you can earn a virtual trophy to commend your efforts in the game. Continuously collecting these trophies usually leads to a higher "level" on your game platform.

Is the game achievement system important?

Perhaps everyone has a different answer.

I find these trophies to be an interesting feature.

These trophies can commemorate the time we've spent in the game.

Sometimes, achievements and trophies can also add more fun goals to our gaming experience.

The content of trophies is truly diverse, not just commemorating glorious achievements, possibly reaching a hidden area, discovering a concealed message, or collecting special items.

Google Play, as a platform with a multitude of games, actually has an achievement system.

If you want to check your achievement progress, you can open an app on your phone called "Google Play Games."

It should be a fundamental software of the Android 13 system, and you can also find it in the Google Play Store.

⇧ After signing in with your Google account on your phone and entering "Google Play Games," click on the profile icon in the lower right corner to see the achievements you've accomplished.

Everyone, go quickly check your level and the achievements you've completed!

But when you open Google Play Games, you might be disappointed, just like me.

"Hmm? I should play games quite often, right? Why do I have so few achievements?"

It's not our fault, and it's not a system issue.

It's because the trophy and achievement content on the Google platform is really limited...

Most of the popular games don't have trophy achievements set up on the Google Play Games platform for players to challenge.

Some games have their own achievement systems, but these contents also don't appear on the Google Play Games system.

Games like Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai: Star Rail, Diablo Immortal, Goddess of Victory: Nike, PUBG Mobile...... None of these games have trophies on Google Play Games.

At first, I thought that maybe Google Play trophies were only available for standalone games. But games I regularly play, like Grand Mountain Adventure and GRID Autosport, also don't have any trophies.

If you want to check which games you've played that have "achievements," you can click on the "Library" at the bottom of this app's interface.

If these games have achievements to challenge, you'll see a "??/?? Achievements" note under the game's name.

⇧ Some games may not have trophies, but they might inform you about special events in the game.
